S A R A H
I have personally known Sarah since the elementary school daze. Sarah had the opportunity to study abroad as an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky. Being adventurous and curious she decided to study in the mysterious continent down under, Australia! To learn more about the great down under and the islands that surround it.
While abroad Sarah was able to travel to Auckland, New Zealand, and the beautiful island of Fiji. When abroad she was able to try a Kangaroo burger in (Sydney), Weaver ants in (Cairns, aboriginals used to give acidity to their foods). She described the fashion to be "very hip clothes, the women seemed to be a step ahead of US fashion". Mostly depends where you would hang out.
What you learned from experience?
That it's ok to travel alone sometimes. Put yourself out there and look silly just for a second and you'll meet some of the coolest people yet. Two years later, I still keep in touch with my friends there and am visiting them again this May!
What are some must see spots?
Some of the must see spots in Sydney are the Harbour Bridge, The Sydney Opera House, Blue Mountains, and Bondi Beach
Recommendations for future travels?
"All you really need is sunscreen for the summertime! Aussies are very casual and laid-back".

Your favorite location?
When asked which location was her favorite Sarah replied "Definitely Sydney! [Sydney is] where the BEAUTIFUL beaches are found"!
Craziest thing you've done?
I went skydiving over the Great Barrier Reef! Conquered my fear of heights.
How many states have you traveled?
I've passed through a few! Mostly the ones bordering KY such as Ohio and Tennessee but also some bigger trips to Savannah GA and NYC.
The most expensive item?
In Sydney it was the spontaneous trip to Fiji. We took is as the best time to visit since we were on the other side of the world! It was about $400
What was the least expensive item purchased?
The fresh fruit at the markets can be pretty cheap! Definitely worth every penny.
Last minute recommendations?
Take advantage of the free time you have now! Before you know it you're old and not as carefree as before. It also doesn't have to be some crazy expensive trip. If you're a student, check out scholarships for studying abroad. Take advantage of those and you won't have to spend your life savings. It was the same price for me to attend the University of Kentucky as to attend the University of New South Wales in Australia! Can't get that deal after graduation!!
Thank you Sarah for being my traveler of the week!!
