It was only two weeks after my LA trip when it was time to go to Phoenix. Being the budget airline expert, I know that flying from Cincinnati is almost $200 cheaper. But what I didn't take into account was the time it takes to get to Cincinnati, the time needed to get through TSA and most importantly the time that I needed to wake up to leave. My flight was scheduled to leave ay 8am which meant I had to wake up at 4am drive an 1 1/2 which would put me at 5:30am so I could be at the airport 2 hours early. Welll....that didn't happen...instead I woke up at 5am which really was 5:30am then finally rushed on the road, got a speeding ticket for going 20 over but he only made it for 10 over (he thought doing us a favor, which he wasn't since he stopped us and put us behind) then finally arrived at the airport late as ever. I scanned my ticket and the words "you are too late for your flight" appeared on screen. The first time in my life I Banana, missed my flight. I was so sad, overwhelmed and tear eyed. Trey of course thought I was over reacting, and rescheduled our flight for the next day. The next day we made it on time and 4 hours of sleep later we were in Phoenix. HOT PHOENIX, hot hot hot! Someone told me people move to Phoenix so they can breathe better blah blah blah its just too hot for me. We did what all tourist do, go to the Grand Canyon! We (trey's family) ventured through uneven roads, a drastic change in weather, and near death experience then finally we made it..kind of. The Grand Canyon was just how I thought it would be, hot, amazing, and very dangerous. Being the dare devil that I am I ignored all safety bars and climbed right on in. I climbed down to an individual cliff that hung above death. I swung my feet and looked down knowing if one wrong move was made I would be dead. After the touring group saw I was safe and alive they soon joined to capture phenomenal pictures. But I will say the pictures above don't give any justice to the amazing view. The next day was the big day, the wedding. I hadn't been to a wedding since I was about 3 or 4 so I was mentally prepared to 'get down get down' lol The wedding was PERFECT...and hot. Everyone became teary eyed so they put on their handy dandy wedding shades (a perfect touch I might add) to block out all of the sun, and cover up the tears. The reception was better than I could imagine, with the open bar that never carded, and 90's mixed with present day I couldn't have had a better time dancing the night away. #whereisbanana #phoenix
