The start of summer was fully planned at the end of May. My boyfriend and I would save our money for fall semester of 2016 and would try to go out of the country. We started to plan and I suddenly ran into an audition in LA for a talent agency. I, the over excited person that I am, rushed online to googles incognito window (this window should be used when searching for plane tickets or they will try to raise them) and found the cheapest flight i could find on frontier. BAM! My flight was booked but I was not. I was very scared, nervous and just didn't know what to expect, I asked around, youtubed auditions and asked my sister who is in the music industry for tips and advice. After many times of hearing "you got it", "you'll do fine", and my favorite "they'd be crazy not to sign you" i was mentally prepared to face the audition. I stayed in LA for 1 1/2 nights, which is pretty short and limited me on what I could see and do in the minimal amount of time I had. I then decided to do what ever tourist does first, HOLLYWOOD BLVD, the walk of STARS!
During my walk of fame I found people like Muhammad Ali (which is my dad's first cousin, which makes him my second cousin), Michael Jackson, Elmo, Snoppy, Shrek, Mickey Mouse, Tom Cruise, etc. I was having a ball though I wasn't able to make it to the Hollywood sign. The next day was audition day, I arrived hours early (before the studio even opened) so I could be first in line and to make a good impression. The audition finally took place I was noticed by the owner of the agency but unfortunately did not make it to the next round (I WILL try again) but hey this was my FIRST audition and a huge learning experience into "the industry". Needless to say I will be prepared for my next audition where ever it may be (maybe i'll audition in New York). #whereisbanana #LA
